So I've always been curious about growing my own pineapple ever since I saw a life hack of sorts talking about growing my own pineapple from the tops of a prior consumed pineapple.
So with more research, I finally came upon this website: http://www.rickswoodshopcreations.com/pineapple/pineapple.htm and seems pretty credible. He has already done all the experimenting and seems to have a tried and true method and shared his own knowledge and experience with success and triumphs. I'm most impressed knowing that pineapple is predominantly tropical to subtropical plant and Rick seems to be in Longwood Pennsylvania.
So without further ado, this is day 1. Trim the excess flesh away, pluck out some base leaves and look for the baby roots and then let the crown dry out and sit for 2 days. So I will post again in 2 days time when it's time for the next step of rooting.
